A Family Traditions Since 1947
Dick Graves was raised in Chillicothe, Missouri. His father John Graves started John Graves Quality Meats in 1947. Dick grew up immersed in the foodservice industry, much like his children. Dick received his Bachelor of Science in Hotel & Restaurant Management Michigan State University in 1962 and received his MBA in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Missouri in 1964. Dick began Graves Menu Maker Foods in 1968. Soon after that Graves Menu Maker Foods acquired Mr. G’s Quality Cut Meats from his father. In 1978 Graves Menu Maker Foods became a broadline food service company, and in 1999 Graves Menu Maker Foods purchased Austin Coffee Service.
Tracy Graves was born and raised in Jefferson City, Missouri. Tracy married Dick in 1980, and she spent the greater portion of her marriage being a homemaker raising their 5 children allowing Dick to put in the time required to run a successful business. After their youngest child began his education at the University of Missouri, Tracy began her career in the family business in 2009. She is now an active member of the management team and provides assistance in all departments of GMMF.
Jon Calvin “Cal” Graves is the eldest Graves of Dick and Tracy’s five children and the 3rd generation working at GMMF. As Chief Information Officer, he is responsible for IT functions from the ordering process to food delivery. In addition to his responsibilities as CIO, he is intimately involved in all departmental planning including Sales, Purchasing, Operations, and Transportation. Cal began working in the warehouse and building customer relationships at an early age, which exposed him to all areas within the company to have a better understanding of everyday operations. Cal achieved his Bachelor of Science in Communication from the University of Missouri in 2007 & his MBA from William Woods University in 2012. Cal married Kitt Graves in 2012. They have two children, Emmie and Will.
Wyatt Hunter Graves is the 2nd eldest of Dick and Tracy’s five children and the 3rd generation working at GMMF. As District Manager of the Central Region, Hunter is responsible for several sales representatives and is actively involved with customers on a daily basis. In addition, Hunter is actively seeking new business relationships and working diligently to further solidify existing business relationships. Hunter achieved his Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Missouri in 2006 & his MBA with an emphasis in Healthcare from William Woods University in 2012. Hunter married Ashley Graves in 2012, and they have two children, Wyatt and Adel.
Forrest Graves is the 3rd eldest of Dick and Tracy’s five children and the 3rd generation working at GMMF. Forrest is involved in the Transportation Department and is responsible for all drivers and delivery departing from the Jefferson City warehouse and Kansas City depot. Forrest received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Missouri in 2013. Forrest married Meghan Graves in 2104.
